Hi, this is Don Wede. I’m downtown Springfield, Illinois on Monday here, the 26th of June. There’s the old capital building. This is right downtown Springfield, Illinois. I figured I had to come down here, take a look at a couple houses somebody wanted to sell. Actually, two individuals wanted to sell and I had to run over to the courthouse real quick, so I figured, well, I’m right downtown, vibrant Springfield, Illinois. Might as well stop and get something for lunch. Well, not such good luck.
I was up and down this street here, and there’s not a place that’s open. Oh, over there’s a Subway, but I don’t think we’re going to do that. I’m not a chain restaurant person. I’m like, individually owned restaurants. I like to give the mom and pops a chance, but down here looking for a place to eat before I go look at a couple of houses. Somebody wants to get a idea of what we can pay for them, but we’ll walk up. We’ll walk down this street here. Maybe we can find something to eat before the day, afternoon is over. Just such a shame. We’ve got such a, this is the state capital, and this is all we’ve got here. Closed restaurants. I don’t get it, but…
What we got here, The Feed Store, it says. It says it’s open. Unique homemade soup, sandwiches, salads and desserts. I think I’ll go in here. Okay, so I guess we’ll cut this short. I will try that place out.

Beautiful day here. Looks like it’s going to get up to about 80. Still need some rain. I don’t think we’ve had rain in almost close to two months here in North Central Illinois. What do we got over here? Maybe another restaurant. Let’s go take a look. We’re restaurant hunting today. It’s a little bit after one, so the lunch crowd will die down, but I tried to make this a fun afternoon along with some business. I always like to do that. Whoa, here’s the traffic.
