Don Wede: Hi, Don Wede here with Heart … Heartland Funding Incorporated. It is May the 11th, 2019. I just pulled over here. I came back from Winnebago County, specifically Rockford, Illinois, Roscoe, Illinois, Cherry Valley, Illinois, Rockton, Illinois, Loves Park Illinois, and Machesney Park.
I went up there and door knocked for pre-foreclosures and a delinquent real estate tax list. On the pre-foreclosures, the people have not paid their mortgage for more than 90 days, and a lis pendens was filed against them. We picked those records up and we go up and talk to the people, see if we can help them out, buy their house, and pay off their mortgage that’s in arrears.
As far as delinquent tax list, they haven’t paid their real estate taxes. It’s got to the point where next month, they’re going to lose this house. That’s a drop dead date of next month that they can no longer pay the back taxes. They’re going to lose the house, so trying to work with them to buy their house to pay off the back taxes.
