Good morning, Don Wede here, probably wondering what are you have this goofy outfit on for? Again, Habitat for Humanity. Reason being that I’m all garbed up like this is Thursday, September 17th at our Illinois Valley Sunrise Rotary meeting, we had a speaker from Habitat for Humanity from the local area here in Peru, and I thought I would try to give back a little bit to the community. We do try to give back with donations from Rotary and also from myself and my company, Heartland Funding, Inc. We like to be more than just a money-making operation. We don’t have to squeeze every dime out of every deal. We like to try to give back through donation, and also our motto for Rotary, service above self, also personally, and through the company. My company, Heartland Funding, Inc. sponsors me as a Rotarian. I think it’s a really, really good organization that tries to do good in the community and throughout the world.
We had a great speaker, Thursday, September 17th. It is September 19th, Saturday afternoon. I figured, “Well, I’ll put on this silly outfit,” which is a rain poncho and a hard hat. I’ll probably be using this hard hat here in the future. There is not a project going on right now in our area as far as new construction, but they just finished one in Ladd, Illinois, and so they’re looking to find a new project. It probably won’t be too long before that takes off.
